A paradise in Dubai!

Hello my ladies! I am here again to post my layout for

Get Creative  's March 15th layout challenge :

This was the great sketch, designed by Melenia:

As almost always,  I distressed and inked my paper. The paper is Prima ''Sun Kiss Collection Sunshine Path'' .

The title
I did masking with a clock template and I stamped the clouds and the hot air balloon.

I used a photo taken at Dubai, we went last summer, we had a great holiday! In the photo you can see the wonderful resort of Madinat!

Amazing holiday in Dubai! 

The photo is taken in the beautiful Madinat resort. This  resort is artifficial, the land scape is not natural, but it is so beautiful that looks like real!

We had a wonderful time in Dubai, the only ''problem'' was the fact that it was too hot! The sea was so much hot, just as like we are taking a hot bath at home in a cold, winter day! We could not get in the sea!  Only a crazy can swim in the summer In Dubai! 

Fortunatelly every place was air - conditionned, not only the famous malls, but even the bus - stops! 

We resisted to the hot weather and really enjoyed our journey!

I miss the smile of the Greeks, I miss hope

Hello everyone! Today Ι am posting my layout for OUAS 's March 15th challenge :

 The journaling criteria was to  finish this line: ''I miss...'' They wanted from us to tell them about something we are missing and why. 

Here is my lo: 

I miss the smile of the Greeks, I miss hope 

And this was the sketch:

I distressed and inked my papers, I did stiching, stamping and painting. 

The flag is hand made  from canvas and painted with acrylic paints. 

As far as regards the journaling: 

I had so many things to write in my journaling! So, I made a ''book'', which I binded with twine. 

The journaling reads:

There are so many things to tell about Greece! There are so many pictures I could put in my layout.

I just put a photo of my smiling son, the greek flag and the oil. 

The photo is taken at Thission temple, an ancient temple near Acropolis. I used it for symbolism. This smile must be continued, our children are the future. 

I go out and everyone is sad. I see destroyed lifes, I see people who lost their jobs, who don 't have to pay for their rent, who don 't have to eat, who don ' t have where to stay. And they are not lazy. They are just victims of crisis. 

The salaries and pensions are too low, almost everyone becomes poorer, almost everyone is unhappy.

The situation is tragic and this is a reality, we don 't know where we are going. 

We, the Greeks pay others' mistakes.

We lost our smile and our pride, because somebody else wanted to. We are the victims of the wrong decisions. They forgot who Greece is!

I am a Greek woman and I could write a lot. 

I am just saying that I am proud for my country, proud for the greek history, culture, language, spirit and for many more  greek achievements! There are too many reasons to be proud for Greece. 

The fact is that we lost our smile and our optimism. Our hope!

But... We survived from wars, from slavery! 

We can raise our heads!

HEY GREEKS! RESIST!

Kάρτα για το get creative!

Γεια σας!
Σήμερα θα σας δείξω μια κάρτα που έφτιαξα εδώ και λίγες μέρες για  την πρόκληση της 20ης Μαρτίου του Get Creative.

Αυτό ήταν το sketch που έπρεπε να ακολουθήσουμε:

Xρησιμοποίησα χαρτιά της Μy Mind 's eye, της σειράς Be happy και Howdy doody. Έβαλα δαντέλα και για πρώτη φορά χρησιμοποίησα ραπτομηχανή!

Spring is here!

Hello my fellow bloggers! How are you? I am fine, the sun is still shining here in Greece and yes, the spring is here! The good weather gives me a good mood and I really enjoy scrapping!
My last post was a spring card and I told you that I was going to continue with a spring layout!

 When I saw the 28th challenge  of scrapbookers in Greece, I knew that I had the ideal and perfect paper for my take!
These were the colours we should use:

The subject was the spring and we had to make a lo that will be a praise for the spring! So, I used a  gorgeous paper from Best Creation Inc 's collection ''A Walk In The Garden'' and some scraps of K & Company and My Mind 's eye.
I used the word ''charm'', so I also enter in BITW 's ''charm'' challenge .

I made the lo 4 days ago, but fortunatelly didn 't glue any paper. Yesterday I took a look at the lo and thought that something didn 't go well, so I completelly changed it!

 The ''sun'' with a little journaling.

I put some crackle accents in the swing, stamped the phrase ''A day at the park'' and added  a bird (using foam blocks) that holds the title ''Spring is here''.

The photo was taken at a park on the spring of 2010, when my little son was about 6 months old. Flowers,  butterflies, borders, a stamped key, a paper doily and some grass frame the photo.

I  did not put many embellishments, I resisted, because the motif of my paper was already very impressive!

Τι ωραίο Σαββατοκύριακο! Λιακάδα, ζεστούλα, ευχαριστηθήκαμε επιτέλους οικογενειακές βόλτες!
Λέτε να μπήκε επιτέλους η άνοιξη; Eγώ πάντως εύχομαι να έχουμε καλή άνοιξη και την καλωσορίζω με μια κάρτα που έφτιαξα για το Get Creative και την πρόκληση της 5ης Μαρτίου :

H πρόκληση ζητούσε να χρησιμοποιήσουμε τον παρακάτω χρωματικό συνδυασμό:

Και λίγα κοντινά:

Σφράγισα το tag και μελάνωσα ελαφρά το περίγραμμά του με ροζ μελάνι, αλλά η φωτογραφία το αδικεί...

Επίσης έχω περάσει με crackle accents το τελείωμα της φούξια μπορντούρας, καθώς και τα ανάγλυφα σημεία της πεταλούδας. Είχα ήδη κάνει ανάγλυφη την πεταλούδα με το big shot.

Xρησιμοποίησα χαρτιά και ένα υπέροχο τρισδιάστατο αυτοκόλλητο της My mind 's eye.
Ελπίζω να σας αρέσει! Θα επανέλθω τις επόμενες ημέρες με μια ανοιξιάτικη σύνθεση που έχω ήδη στα σκαριά!

Γεια σας και πάλι!
Η άνοιξη δε λέει να μας τιμήσει με την παρουσία της και το έχω ρίξει κι εγώ στις συνθέσεις!
Αυτή τη φορά έκανα ένα layout για την 27η πρόκληση των scrapbookers in Greece.  Η πρόκληση ζητούσε να χρησιμοποιήσουμε κόκκινο, κίτρινο, μπλε, ροζ, όπως και γραμμές και καμπύλες.
Είναι η πιο γρήγορη σύνθεση που έχω κάνει, γι' αυτό και είναι αρκετά απλή. Μου πήρε μόνο 1 ώρα, χρόνος ρεκόρ για μένα, που συνήθως ψειρίζω τα χαρτιά μέχρι να διαλέξω και να τα στήσω..
Το βασικό χαρτί είναι από μπλοκ που πήρα από το lidl, τα υπόλοιπα χαρτιά είναι My  mind 'eye και Prima.

Kαι μερικά κοντινά:

Η φωτογραφία είναι από το πάρτυ της βάφτισης του Γιώργου στις 5 Σεπτεμβρίου 2010, στο οποίο επιτέλους χαμογελούσε μετά το κλάμα που έριξε στην εκκλησία. Eίναι πάνω στην τσουλήθρα.

Discovered my angel

I hello everyone!

The photo is taken at October the 2nd of 2010, at my son 's first birthday party.

I inked the picket fence, put a ribbon and a  paper border with flowers through. I added the lucky cards, a butterfly and flowers. If you look carefully, you ''ll see that I stamped the paper ribbon and  2 flowers with a musicscore stamp.
